Objekt at Signal Friday is the weekend’s best booking: bass-brained, technically ridiculous, and in the right small room.

- 🌞 Daytime: Free, all-ages Family Affair at McCarren Park Sunday, then Floorplan + CARISTA in the Public Records Nursery.
- 🗓️ Thursday: DJ Plead + rrao at Good Room; the smart low-crowd move.
- 🌙 Friday night: Objekt’s Night & Day at Signal. Skee Mask at Nowadays is an unusually strong alternate.
- 🌙 Saturday night: Lady Harley all night in Good Room’s Bad Room, or Moritz von Oswald at Signal.
- ☀️ Sunday: Floorplan + CARISTA, 3–9pm; bring the kid to Family Affair first if logistics cooperate.
🗓️ Thursday, October 1
Good Room — DJ Plead + rrao
DJ Plead’s polyrhythmic club music pulls from Lebanese percussion, UK bass and soundsystem pressure; rrao makes this a properly left-field two-hander rather than a touring-headliner spectacle. It is 10pm–4am, $10–20, and RA shows only 51 interested—a feature, not a bug.
Jamie xx all night at Nowadays is obviously credible, but 1,900 RA saves means a Thursday crowd that will feel like an event. Pick him only if the rare extended set outweighs the scrum.
🏆 Friday, October 2
Signal — Night & Day with Objekt + Dan Ghenacia
Objekt came up through Hessle Audio, PAN and Leisure System, and his sets jump cleanly between electro, techno, bass and experimental electronics. Signal’s no-phones floor and intimate room are the right container; Dan Ghenacia and local residents carry the long session into Saturday afternoon, with breakfast from 8am. Doors are 10pm; DICE lists $28.38, while an RSVP gives a door discount before 11pm.

- Nowadays — x3butterfly invites Skee Mask + Shai FM — Shai 10–midnight, Skee Mask midnight–3, x3butterfly after. Atmospheric breaks and bass on the no-phones floor; $10 RSVP before 11, $15 before midnight, or $30+ advance.
- Jubilee at Dead Letter No. 9 — Miami bass/electro/freestyle, an all-femme two-room bill, and limited free RSVPs. Less proven room, excellent selector.
🏆 Saturday, October 3
Good Room — Lady Harley all night in the Bad Room
Lady Harley is the trusted play here: classic house, disco and NYC resident-DJ instincts, paired with Laila Amira all night in the smaller room. Main-room duties go to Jordan Nocturne and Arvin T; doors are 10pm and tickets run $10–25.
Alternate: Signal — Moritz von Oswald + Sarah Wreath. Foundational dub-techno lineage, a rare small-room booking, and another phone-free floor. Choose this for spacious low-end rather than party-forward disco.
Stamina option: Nowadays Nonstop runs 10pm Saturday–3pm Sunday, $30+, moving from KUDZU AUDIO’s dub through DJ Fart in the Club and a tINI b2b Angel D’lite.
🌞 Daytime / Early-Start Picks
Family Affair at McCarren Park House is the practical win: Sunday 3–9pm, free, outdoors and explicitly all-ages, with kids, dogs and picnic blankets welcomed. Hot Honey Sundays and several local collectives are supplying sunlit house; this is the rare dance listing built for actual family logistics.
The Nursery: Floorplan + CARISTA runs 3–9pm Sunday at Public Records, from $21.63. Robert Hood’s gospel-house Floorplan project gives you direct, jubilant piano-and-vocal payoff; CARISTA’s broader Dutch selector sensibility keeps it from becoming a one-note heritage set. Mister Sunday with Eamon Harkin + Justin Carter is the dependable 3–9pm fallback.
❌ What to Skip (and why)
- Eli Escobar all night at House of Yes — right DJ, explicitly wrong room and crowd.
- Detroit In Effect + DJ Slugo at Paragon — painful cut, but Paragon remains too big and scene-led; Good Room and Signal offer better conditions.
- We Belong Here at Wollman Rink — $100-ish festival pricing and a commercial Central Park crowd, even with LP Giobbi on Friday.

- 🎟️ DjRUM all night at Nowadays (Fri 9) — probably the best future buy: broken beat, jungle lineage and deep listening in the right room. RA already shows 519 interested.
- 🎟️ RA25 at Good Room (Fri 9) — Nick León, Galcher Lustwerk, Stacey Hotwaxx Hale and Baalti; stacked, broad and likely busy.
Weekend of October 16–18
- Marie Davidson live, Xeno & Oaklander live + Andi at Xanadu (Fri 16) — synth-industrial, darkwave and an actual live-show component; $29.15.
- Focus: Disco at Nowadays (Fri 16) — Inés, Lovie and Mark Grusane; the less-hyped, musically exact choice. Sunday also has Mister Sunday with Aurora Halal and Justin Carter.
Weekend of October 23–25
- 🎟️ Nowadays Nonstop (Sat 24) — Pearson Sound, Ayesha, Mor Elian, BEARCAT, Tasha and The Untouchables: dub, 140, jungle and broken club sounds across 17 hours.
- 🎟️ Mister Sunday: Floating Points + Justin Carter (Sun 25) — 1,900 interested already; excellent booking, guaranteed crowd. Buy rather than gamble on the door.

- Saturday: Lady Harley in the Bad Room; Moritz von Oswald if dub-techno wins.
- Sunday: Family Affair with the kid, then Floorplan + CARISTA if you still have runway.
