CAT Dance: The Musical

CAT Dance: The Musical (Friday, December 7, 2001) was a rave I helped organize in high school.

Flyer on black with the yellow cat eyes from the Cats poster, reading "CAT The Musical, December 7th 2001 8-12PM, Mingus Union High School cafeteria, DJs spinning & live performances, BODYMOVINGINTENSITYPOWEREDDISCOTHEQUE"

Yes, I made a flyer for it. It’s a parody of the poster for Cats, yellow eyes and all, with the title shrunk to “CAT The Musical.”

The event

A bunch of us at Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, Arizona decided to throw an electronic music event. DJs spinning and live performances in the school cafeteria, 8pm to midnight. “BODYMOVINGINTENSITYPOWEREDDISCOTHEQUE.”

This was small-town Arizona in 2001. We were doing our best.
