Show Me Nonstop
Continuously play YouTube videos based on a search query. Type in “baby pandas” or “slow motion” and watch forever. Get as specific as you want, e.g. dogs welcoming soldiers home.
Made with Chad Pugh and Casey Pugh during the 24-hour hackday.tv video hackathon in September 2011, while we were building VHX. The site itself took about 60 minutes. Casey’s Music Video Genome, “Pandora for music videos,” came out of the same event.
It was just HTML and JavaScript on a customized VHX Classic “megaplaya” embed, with no play or pause button, because it’s nonstop. I posted it on FAT Lab on September 15, 2011.
Press picked it up within a day. Eric Limer at The Mary Sue noticed there was “no play button, no pause button, no scrub bar and more troublingly, no volume control.”

The VHX megaplaya no longer exists, so the site is gone too. The Wayback Machine has a copy.
