Know Your Meme (2008) - a community-edited database of Internet culture. “Like Wikipedia, but cooler.”
I co-created Know Your Meme with Kenyatta Cheese and the team at Rocketboom in 2008. We built both the wiki-style database and produced a web show where we’d dress up in lab coats and explain the stories behind notable memes.
The site was acquired by the Cheezburger Network in 2011. It remains a popular destination for anyone trying to understand wtf their kids are talking about.
